The Southern Manheim Township
Fire Company's station is located right on the outskirts of the
City of Lancaster, the heart of Lancaster County. It is
within a short distance to all the colleges in the area:
Millersville University, Franklin & Marshall College,
Elizabethtown College, Lancaster Bible College, Lancaster General
Hospital Nursing School, Harrisburg Area Community College
Lancaster Campus and Main Campus. Our soon to be
renovated and expanded facility will be equipped with separate
bunk rooms for both female and male, capable of providing a
positive living arrangement for many.
The Live-In's of SMTFC strive to be proficient at
what they do, and are looking for more people who are looking for
the opportunity to run with a progressive fire dept. and company
that appreciates it's members and upholds the meaning of "The
Brotherhood" (and sisterhood)
This Live-In program benefits both the students
and the fire company. The students receive rent FREE
accommodations in exchange the fire company receives additional
manpower for quick responses for our community. Everyone
WINS!
This program is not limited to college
students, firefighters looking for a place to call home may also
apply.
